KAT BBQ Small Vault Insulated Smoker
KAT BBQ Smokers Insulated Vault Smokers (Personal, Competition and Commercial). These Vault Smokers are set it and forget it cookers. They use very little fuel compared to the traditional Offset Smoker, with the same or better results. This is a Great cooker for those how would like to compete, cater or just want a great performing and looking smoker. The small size vault can cook (8-10 pork buts, 3 19lbs briskets, 9-12 racks of ribs). They all have an ash pan connected to the sliding charcoal basket, you do not have to worry about dropping ashes on the ground when adding fuel or just checking the burn. We integrated Probe hole on the side so you don’t damage your probe wires by closing them in the door. You get a TEL-TRU or ThermoWorks DOT thermometer very accurate temperature readings.

By far one of the most efficient smokers that I’ve ever cooked in. I’ve been smoking food for a long time! The nice thing about this unit is that a 14lb. or 15lb. bag of Briquettes will burn for 20-22 hours. The flavor you get is amazing. It would be nice to put a few pictures of the product this produces. Anyhow if you are thinking of getting one of these smokers, Don’t think any longer, get you one and enjoy the greatness of this all american made product.

This smoker is amazing. It’s very well built the attention to detail is second to none. I run mine with a BBQ Guru and I’m able to maintain temperature in fog, rain and wind. From brisket to pulled pork and chicken everything that I’ve smoked has come out amazing. I couldn’t be happier with this smoker.

I had Ken build me a small vault with a cart. Craftsmanship was outstanding. Very neat and precise welds. Ken was very accommodating to me with all my special requests right down to the beautiful forest green powder coating. The cooker produces wonderful light blue smoke with great clean flavor (just wait until the billowy white smoke goes aways before putting your meat on.) 10lbs of charcoal will go 10+ hours and you can fill it with close to 20lbs. I am extremely happy with my cooker. But don’t let your temps get too high because the cooker cools down only slowly with the insulation and our mild climate here in California. The capacity of the small vault is surprisingly large. You could do 6+ briskets, 8 pork shoulders maybe 20+ rack of ribs if you have vertical racks. This cooker is built so well you can put it in the will for the kids!
